ABOUT ME

I'm an Evangelical Christian, a fallibilist, and a student.
I love learning, but more than that, I love sharing what I've learnt with others. Sometimes I research and write out of pure interest - these days, I research and write to get good grades. I don't want my sweat and tears to go to waste, so I figured that I could post a bunch of these assignments on an accessible format for all to see!
Don't worry! I get good grades :)

I've changed the site name many times since I've started.
For now, it is named after the koine Greek verb περιπατεω,
meaning "to walk," and (in a more Hebraic-ethical-figurative
sense) "to live." It can also be used to refer to an action of
discourse and discussion. This draws to mind a more
ancient, adjectival form of περιπατεω, which was used in
naming Aristotle's Peripatetic school of philosophy,
purportedly in reference to Aristotle's habit of teaching
while walking around.

The metaphor of walking also evokes stories such as
Matthew 14:22-33, in which Jesus walks on water. Peter fails to truly trust Jesus and begins to sink, but Jesus saves him immediately. This is a profound miracle story which encourages the reader to keep their eyes on Jesus, despite how terrifying the storm might be.

Similarly, we think of Charles Blondin - the man said to have tightroped across Niagara Falls about 300 times over the course of his life. In August 1859, Blondin carried his manager over the Falls, telling him beforehand, "If I sway, sway with me. Do not attempt to do any balancing yourself. If you do we will both go to our death." This and other Blondin stories have been consistently used by Christian Pastors to illustrate the kind of faith one must have in Jesus. We are called to walk in accordance with Christ, who calls us to Himself.

It is my hope that people not only find enjoyment in reading my work, but are also encouraged to think deeply as they go walking about their everyday lives.
